Microfluidics High-Speed (MHS) Microscope
-
allows for observation of fast phenomena at short exposure settings
-
recording speeds of 220 fps or 2000+ fps
-
suitable for: microfluidics, cellular motion and events, motion tracking, quality control, etc.

Large working range
The precision macro and micro focus stages allow for a large range of travel (9+ cm), accommodating various microfluidic chips and other samples.
The optics are prioritized to have a large working distance (distance between the bottom of the lens to the focus plane). This distance depends on the choice of optical assembly, however typically spans a couple of cm (4+ cm).
High contrast
The bottom Bright-field illumination is set up to produce a high optical phase contrast at high intensities required for even the shortest exposures (8-110 us).
Using a diffusor the light can be conditioned in order to reduce contrast and increase penetration for various microfluidic chip designs.

Optics
The optical assembly can be tailored to specific needs. Please refer to the PDF below for magnifications, details and options.
All scopes come with a 6.4x variable zoom lens.
Bottom illumination is standard, top (coaxial, aka. inline) illumination is available as well.

Interface and control
The microscope connects to a PC over USB 3.1 and is interfaced with our 'viewer' software variant.
The software enables seamless video and frame acquisition as well as advanced interactive playback possibilities, image enhancements (gain, gamma, sharpening) and scale measurements.
For more about the software, see MICROSCOPY / Viewer (software) and cameras
The microscope uses precision motion stages and variable zoom for easy positioning.
Some more video clips can be found in the GALLERY / Microscopy examples
Customizability
The microscope design is flexible and can be customized for desired magnifications, illumination (bottom + coaxial top), cameras, etc. The custom solutions aim at providing the desired function at an affordable cost, achieved with modularity and sourced suppliers.
The hardware is chosen to be the best fit for ease of use, price and performance.
